2012! Roland Emmerich director of 'Independence day' & 'Day after tomorrow' made me watch the trailer. The brilliant trailer made me shell 150 bucks and go for the movie!The ambience was very poor which de energized my enthusiasm to an extent! The movie starts with the dialect between afro american and indian guy.. It made me feel happy for a second about the acknowledgment given to the indian intelligence! Then the afro american guy is shown conveying the idea about the forthcoming catastrophe american president..then started the world of illusion...The usual cliche of america initiating to save the world is repeated...Can't really blame though,it is after all production of Columbia pictures!The american president is portrayed as the most noble person on earth!!China is portrayed as the future of next world and super power america getting destroyed!India is again shown to be the country of sufferers, poverty , non influential, in capable of grabbing opportunity etc! Afro american vouches for indian!!Attempt has been made to appreciate the concept of universal brotherhood!I was not able to stop myself noting the shades of bollywood in a movie from the director of 'Independence day'!!
P.s : Sony has got its good share of product placement !!
Good things about the movie : #Excellent graphics,# Interesting story line, # Excellent promo
Bad things about the movie : # Un wanted emotional glitches, not even 1% real
Overall it was a good watch!!
